Shelly Cotter is the Principal and Lead Designer of Shelly Cotter Designs.  Shelly’s love and appreciation of great design grew during the fifteen-plus years she spent working for two of the most iconic furniture design companies in the world, Knoll and Herman Miller.   Armed with an interior design degree from Texas Tech University, Shelly worked for both organizations  working with Top Commercial Interior Design Companies and Fortune 500 clients to create spaces that were well designed, beautiful and functional and met corporate goals of attracting and retaining top talent.  Some of these companies include Jones Day, NEC, Toyota, and many others.  Shelly’s focus was creating work spaces that were both comfortable and functional, connecting employees deeply to their environments.  While at Knoll,  Shelly received the "Top Performer" multiple years running and at Herman Miller was a Living Environments Consultant.  Working for both Knoll and Herman Miller gave Shelly a broad education in and a deep passion for timeless design principles and mid-century modern furniture.  Now, at Shelly Cotter Designs, Shelly brings the principles to the residential arena – creating beautiful, functional spaces that connect a family deeply to their environment.  This connection makes the people in them.... love where they live.
